Causes 2, the second episode of benefit series for Darfur, will be released May 5 by Waxploitation Records. Full profit from the sales go to Médecins Sans Frontières, Human Rights Watch and Oxfam America. After Dark Was the Night and War Child presents Heroes, this is the third compilation to go out this year. The first Causes album came out in 2007, and featured Animal Collective, Spoon, The Black Keys, Bright Eyes, Death Cab for Cutie, The Cure and the Shins. This new compilation includes many artists from various genres, like indie groups My Morning Jacket and the Decemberists, dance artists with Diplo, Matthew Dear, LCD Soundsystem, noise with Black Moth Super Rainbow, soul with Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Gnarls Barkley,  besides DevendraBanhart and Tim & Eric.
